Kindred’s CEO stepping down

KITCHENER, SEPTEMBER 27, 2023 - Kindred Credit Union’s Board of Directors has announced that Ian Thomas is stepping down as CEO. He will conclude his work on October 31, after which Ian and his family will be returning to British Columbia. We wish Ian much success in his new position.

Ian has consistently anchored Kindred’s strategic decisions and operational activities in our purpose and values, helping Kindred to be well positioned for long-term financial sustainability. His care and appreciation for the Kindred team, members and communities have been evident both daily and through challenges as significant as the COVID-19 pandemic. During his almost five years of leadership, he has strengthened capabilities throughout the organization, reinforcing our firm foundations for Kindred to continue to grow its reach and impact.

Kindred Credit Union has a strong and experienced leadership team in place. We have every confidence in the abilities of each member of the Kindred staff to carry on with excellence the priorities of our strategic plan and objectives.
