Kitchener, ON – Kindred is pleased to share that Ipsos has once again ranked Canadian Credit Unions as the top in Customer Service Excellence – for the 20th year in the row!
The 2024 Ipsos Financial Service Excellence Awards, an annual program that first began in 1987, recognizes Canadian financial institutions for excellence across various categories. They use the Customer Service Index (CSI) survey to generate the winners of the annual Financial Service Excellence Awards, with this year’s awards based on the combined results of 47,946 completed surveys for the 2024 CSI program year (ending September 2024). These results are based on a demographically and regionally representative sample of Canadians and the awards are presented across 11 categories.
Canada’s credit unions won five additional Ipsos awards this year: Values My Business, Financial Planning and Advice, Branch Service Excellence, Online Banking Excellence, and Live Agent Telephone Banking Excellence.

According to the Canadian Credit Union Association (CCUA), this incredible two-decade streak reinforces the credit union sector’s longstanding commitment to delivering outstanding, member-centric service and its pivotal role in fostering strong community relationships. This reflects Kindred’s history, in which their founders purposefully chose the credit union model to provide financial services that brought together those who could serve and those who were underserved.
