We are pleased to welcome Doug Woodburn to the Kindred Credit Union Board of Directors, effective November 1, 2024!
Doug is a MBA, CPA, CMA with over 20 years of experience in corporate services and financial planning. He’s the Director of Corporate Services and CFO at Huntington Society of Canada and is well-versed in investment management, risk management, business intelligence, IT, HR and operational restructuring, as well as a Sigma Six practitioner. Doug is active in his local community where he builds, manages, and coaches successful and thriving intermediate and senior women’s hockey programs.
In addition to his duties on the board, Doug has joined the Audit and Risk Committee.
Kindred’s leadership consists of three groups: the Board of Directors, a Senior Leadership Team, and the Council of Members. These teams work closely together to ensure the continuing success and sound governance of the credit union. The Board of Directors works closely with the Senior Leadership Team to establish Kindred’s strategic direction, provide oversight on the overall strength and financial performance of the organization, as well as the satisfaction of members, and ensure that Kindred continues to be an engaging employer. The Council of Members provide input regarding individuals from our membership who may be interested in serving on the Board of Directors.
We are currently looking to fill a vacancy on our Council of Members, a committee of member volunteers with representation from various Kindred branches. This group’s primary responsibility is to discern and recommend suitable candidates to serve on the Board of Directors.
Anyone interested in joining the Council of Members should email Tithi Thakkar, Corporate Secretary.
