It is with sadness that I share with you that Bob Tjart passed away after a courageous twelve-year battle with cancer on Friday, December 25. Bob was our credit union’s second employee and served as General Manager from mid-1976 to mid-1982.
Bob led our credit union, known at the time as Mennonite Credit Union, through significant change during his tenure, including growing from a single location to three branches and adding a separate head office. Bob’s leadership was integral through this period of expansion and he oversaw the growth in staff members from the initially small group to over 20 people.
Immediate family will have a private service, and a celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
We have arranged for a donation to Camp Crossroads on behalf of the Kindred staff and board. Based on the wishes of the family, memorial donations can also be made by to Kerr Street Mission www.kerrstreet.com or Camp Crossroads www.campcrossroads.com.
You can find the full obituary on the Tallman Funeral Homes site.
